We are a hunter/jumper facility that provides boarding, training, and lessons. We've been working with Thoroughbreds for over ten years and pride ourselves in our ability to help them find a second career after the racetrack! We keep a small herd, so each horse is given individualized attention and a custom training program depending on their strengths.
A Bit Better Farm is a small family run facility located in northern Montgomery County, specializing in retraining and competing off the track thoroughbreds. Located in the heart of Area II eventing, ABBF's head trainer Kelley Williams has competed through the Advanced level, and has students competing through the CCI1* level. In addition to teaching students how to get the most out of their relationships with their equine partners, ABBF also accepts horses in for training and re-sale. Contact us today to discuss your goals and training needs!
A Pinch of Luck is a multi-discipline boarding facility and home to a thriving Off Track Thoroughbred program. Since its inception in 2006, we've placed over 250 Thoroughbreds, both off track and not, into second (and sometimes third and fourth) careers. Our boarding program is home to horses of varius breeds and ages.
In addition to rehabilitating, retraining, and rehoming retired racers, we focus on elder equine care and lay-ups in our 40x400' barn that was laid out specifically with this task in mind.
AGD Equine Services was founded in 2011 by Adam Diehl to promote harmony and communication between horses and riders through correct, classical horse training and riding instruction to instill mastery of proper basics. Adam's quiet, patient approach incorporates feedback from the horse at all stages and each program is individually tailored to their unique needs. Training Board is available at Mills Farm in Westminster, MD, and visiting services are available within a one hour radius in Maryland and southern Pennsylvania.
